Unpleasant Bath Time!

I hate bath time! I really can't understand why humans (like mommy and daddy for example) need to bathe everyday!?!! Even cold rainy days don't stop them from doing it! I used to struggle and even succumbed to licking away the shampoo whenever mommy and daddy gave me a bath! Mommy needed Daddy's help to bathe me while she tried to hold me still. And whenever possible, I tried to make them wet by shaking the water off my fur. Haha...that was fun!!!
Fortunately (for mom), now that I am older and wiser, I can tackle this matter way better. I am not saying that I like bath time now! I still hate it a lot but I have learnt to accept it. At least, I don't get wash everyday like humans do. Phew! I can now stand still while waiting for mommy to give me a bath. I do still try to lick some shampoo whenever possible tho'. Hehe. And mommy doesn't need daddy to help out anymore! She can bathe me all by herself!!! Hooray for mommy!!!
Unfortunately for mom tho', bathing Jessie is worse than bathing me when I was younger! She tries to run away from mommy everytime mommy lets her out of her grip. Thus, mommy has to bath her using one hand while the other hand catches her. Sometimes, Jessie tries to climb up to mommy and giving mommy Jessie's pitiful look (You know, like what that Pussy-In-Boots does in Shrek2&3). [Benji: Jessie, this doesn't work when it's bath time... save it for other uses, like getting a treat] [Jessie: Well, it's worth a try, you know...]
Each time when mommy comes out of the bathroom everytime after bathing the two of us, she is drenched with shampoo and water. Haha... anyway, here are some ugly pictures of us after our bath. Yeah, I know we both look pathetic....

Me, before bath! How rugged and handsome I look eh?
Jessie before bath! See, her fluffy fur?!
Jessie and I posing for mommy....
Jessie and I again.... Mom, can I sleep while you take pictures? I am dead beat!
Jessie, looking frightful... [Jessie: What's that thing mommy's holding?!?! What's that blinding light??!?!]

Jessie - the FBI Agent!

Mommy made Jessie wear my FBI t-shirt since I couldn't fit in anymore! Here are some of her pictures! She really think she is a FBI agent - duh...
Mission Impossible! I must get to the bone before Benji!
Special Agent - Jessie!
Yeah! I did it!
Tired already....please, no more mission ok...

I'm back!

Heya! Mommy has been so lazy (busy, she said) to update my blog! Well, I, myself have been pretty busy as well. Everyday after work, mommy will rush home to let me out of her room and Jessie out of her crate (Yeah, Jessie is still crate-training. Haven't fully passed her house-breaking training yet!). Then, both of us will be running up and down the staircase and then to the garden, chasing each other. Mommy in the meantime, will be busying herself cleaning the toilet (where I did my business) and Jessie's crate. After that, mommy and daddy will have their dinner while Jessie and I looked on longingly(sometimes we both beg mommy to give us some of her food, which she stubbornly rejected! Hmmph!). After they are done, it's our turn to have our dinner. Mommy will make us sit and stay for a while before giving us food. How cruel of her! Next, it's play-time! Sometimes mommy will join us for some wrestling but most of the time, mommy will play tickle with each of us individually. Hehe. That's the fun part and highlight of the day! Jessie gets tired easily after dinner so, usually by 10pm, she will doze off under the sofa and I will either entertain myself with some toys or just sitting at the sliding door, gazing up the starry starry nite, thinking deeply about the world and humanity..(yah right!). At about 11.30pm or sometimes much later (depending whether it's CSI nite or not, or whether mommy is trying to refresh her memory by re-reading Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince for the 4th time!), mommy will announce bed-time! Jessie and I will then race with each other upstairs. Mommy will put Jessie back into her crate and lay out a big fluffy pillow for me to sleep in. Then, lights off! Zzzzz......
What a busy schedule all of us have everyday!!! No wonder, mommy doesn't have the time to blog these days.... :p

Another Case of Mites Infection!!!

Jessie was taken to the vet yesterday by Mommy and Daddy (me, being left alone at home! hmmph!) coz Mommy found out some weird scaly thingy on Jessie's outer ears and also on her body. The vet confirmed that Jessie has a case of mites infection! This time tho', it's not ear mites infection like what I had the other time but another kind of mites which stayed on the skin and makes someone scratched like crazy. Vet said that if it's not cured fast enough, probably Jessie will go bald sooner or later with all the scratching. (Ooh..I wonder how she looks like being bald?...Hmmm...) Haha, and becoz of that, she has to be given 4 jabs (painful jabs like what I had gotten the last time I had ear mites infection!) in order to control the infection! Poor thing... (NOT!) Heard from mommy that she cried and screamed during the jab! Haha...This is real funny... how I wished I had been there to witness this...Kekeke....Mommy was wondering where Jessie has gotten this infection since Mommy doesn't allow Jessie to go out of the house (coz she has not finished her jabs yet.) From me, I don't think so coz I am also an indoor dog and am clean! [SMUG]

(What?! No...no..no...you must have heard it wrongly, mom! I don't think the vet meant me! Maybe he meant Daddy?! Are you sure the vet said Benji? ) Great! This is just great! Mommy has just told me that I will have to take the jabs (3 for me!) as well to prevent myself from being infected from the mites. The chances of me being infected is rather high ( very high, according to Mommy, which I think was highly exaggerated! ) as Jessie and I kept playing and rolling together... Now, Jessie, look what you have done! Mommy, please don't let me have the jabs! Please!!! (Mommy: Sorry Ben-ji-ji, you had to have the jabs, for your own good. You don't wanna be bald and ugly, right?) Bald?!!?! Ugly???!!? Okaaay, okaaay, I will do it but mommy, you must promised to give me lotsa treats after that, ya?! And Mom, please refer me as Benji in the blog ya... Ben-ji-ji is only for you & Daddy to call me at home ya...behind closed doors...:p

Mommy said she is sooo "LUCKY"!

Mommy thinks she is sooo "LUCKY"! Wanna know why? Read on: I was (and still am) having a behavioral problem which Mommy calls it "Separation Anxiety", where I can't be away from mommy at all. Once I can't see mommy, I will run all over the house, trying to look for her. If she is not within my sight, I will then start to whine softly. After a minute or so, when mommy still doesn't come looking for me, I will then howl with all my might! And another minute later, I will poo/pee on the floor wherever I was at that time. I can't really control myself coz I really panicked everytime I can't see my mommy.

Now, the "LUCKY" part is that, Jessie seemed to be having the same problem as well! She will follow mommy everywhere she goes and if mommy goes to the toilet, she will scream and scratch the door until mommy comes out! This morning, when mommy fed Jessie in the room, mommy came out to dry some clothes. Jessie, a real glutton, didn't even want to eat her kibbles! All she did was to screamed and scratched the door until Mommy is done with her work! Haha. Mommy was saying that of so many puppies available, she managed to get two with the same behavioral problem! Haha! Maybe Mommy is attracted to problematic kiddo like us. :p Anyway, Mommy did some research on Separation Anxiety and the reasons for this problem could be due to:-

  • A dog has never or rarely been left alone.
  • Following a long interval, such as a vacation, during which the owner and dog are constantly together.
  • After a traumatic event (from the dog's point of view) such as a period of time spent at a shelter or boarding kennel.
  • After a change in the family's routine or structure (a child leaving for college, a change in work schedule, a move to a new home, a new pet or person in the home).
Some said that being a very super-duper devoted dog will also have this anxiety when the owner is away. I am not sure whether is it true but I would like to think of myself as a super-duper devoted dog than being a jealous or traumatised dog. :)

Anyway, being older and having a routine life makes it easier for me to cope with this problem. Now, I can wait patiently outside the bathroom door when mommy is bathing without me peeing-pooing on the floor. Now, I can wait patiently for mommy to return from work without messing the whole room. I'm not perfect tho' as I still whine like a baby if Mommy were to go upstairs, leaving me (and Jessie) alone in the crate ... *blush*... but Mommy and Daddy love me the way I am, even with the howling and panic poo/pee... Cheers!!!

Some pictures...

Here are some update pictures of Jessie and I...This is Jessie with her DOWN pose. How does she look? I think she looks great!
This is Jessie, sleeping but smiling at the same time. How vain!
This is Jessie, trying to get us out of the crate! But, erm, Jessie, the door is at the other side..
Mommy tied a piece of her old PJs around me to make it look as if I am wearing a dress! I am a big boy, I don't wear dress! But, personally, I don't think PINK suits me well. What do you think?

Jessie fell asleep on the vet's examination table...duh...
"I am so drunk and lonely..." Daddy made me pose with a beer bottle and remote control. Hey, I looked like a model from an advertisement, eh?
Arrghh!!!! Where's Jessie's body?!?! Aww.. but she still look so cute without her body...

I am not bad either!

Hey guys! Guess what?! I can go down the stairs already and man, I am good! Well, the story is like this: Jessie, being a show-off, kept showing Mommy and Daddy how fast she can go up and down the stairs. And me, being a hero, came down the stairs just to prove them that I can as well! Ta-daa!!!!!!

(Okay, Mom, I will tell them the WHOLE story...) The ACTUAL story is like that... Jessie (a show-off!) really did go up the stairs and down to show Mommy and Daddy. And Mommy felt that I too, should know how to do it as well. So, she lured me and Jessie up to the 1st Floor and she went down all by herself without carrying me! Jessie (a show-off) quickly went down after Mommy, leaving me all alone. Hmmph! Down below, Mommy waited and kept encouraging me to come down all by myself and Jessie (a real show-off) kept coming up the stairs and going down. In the end, I really couldn't stand being so far apart from mommy (and also that gleeful look on Jessie's face) that I took my first brave step downwards. Soon (like umm..2 minutes later), I was reunited with my Mommy and looking at her proud and happy face, I am glad that I made my move. Guess, I too, owed it to Jessie as well, if it's not for her show-offish attitude, I might never have the guts to do it. :) Thanks Jessie, for being such a show-off! :p Licks**

Hmmph! Jessie is a show-off!

I have something to announce today! Jessie is a show-off! It's official! Hmmph! First, she managed to climb up the stairs, up a storey high on her first day of arrival! Then, she understood that SIT meaning "bum touches floor" within 2 minutes into the training. And yesterday, she managed to go down the stairs ALL-BY-HERSELF, without Mommy or Daddy teaching her! Now you know why I accused her of being a show-off right?! She just wanna get all the attention for herself! Daddy and Mommy have been praising her (and teasing me for being such a baby!) all day...jeez... :(
A-ha! There's one more thing that Jessie doesn't know yet! She doesn't know where to poo/pee yet! Kekeke...muahahaha... Note to self: Better show-off to Mommy while I can before Jessie does it... *winkwink*

Going to Taiping!

Yeah, this Friday, we will be returning back to Daddy's hometown for the weekend. This time, Jessie will be tagging along. I wonder how long can she hold her pee coz she is still so young and can't really hold as long as I can. Me, being a big boy now, I can hold my pee for the night! Of course, if I suddenly have the urge to go middle of the night, not to worry, as I can find my way in the dark to the toilet and return quietly to my bed to sleep without waking up mommy. [Smug]
Oh ya, back to the trip. I wonder if mommy will bring along a leash so that we can have a walk around Daddy's place. Better put that in my checklist. :) But, one thing I don't like about Daddy's place or any other place for the matter, is that, the toilet is not the same as the one where I live now. The smell is not the same and the tiles are not of the same size and colour. And this is making me confused! So, usually at Daddy's hometown, I will do my business in the crate. Daddy tried bringing me to the toilet during the CNY trip but I don't have much "feeling" for that place and just sat down on the floor, looking pitifully at Daddy. In the end, Daddy had not choice but to put me in my crate. The second I was in there, I pooed/peed like crazy. This time, I think I will have to share the "crate-toilet" with Jessie while we were there.
Anyway, here is the checklist of all the things mommy needs to pack for us. Really pity her as we have lotsa things to bring and are actually more than mommy's own stuff.

1. My Kibbles - NutriEdge Stage 2, enough of 4 meals
2. Jessie's Kibbles - NutriEdge Stage 1, enough for 4 meals
3. My Food Bowl
4. Jessie's Food Bowl
5. My Pillow/Bed - For me to have a good rest
6. Jessie's Pillow/Bed - For her to have a good rest too!
7. Our toys - Lucky we both can share toys!
8. Crate - Oooh, this is the most problematic as our crate are kinda huge and it can just fit nicely into Daddy's car, taking up half of the back seat.
9. Leash - For me of course!
10. Lotsa kitchen towels - To clean up accidents, mostly Jessie's...hehe...

Ok, I guess that's all for this trip. Lucky it's only a 3 days, 2 nights. If not, mommy has to bring our shampoo and towels and other grooming materials... phew!

Mommy's angry!

Mommy has been pretty angry these days. Not with me tho'! She's angry with Jessie coz Jessie has been a very naughty girl. Whenever mommy puts Jessie in her crate, Jessie will scream and scream until Mommy lets her out. Mommy and Daddy are now training her on her toilet-training session and they realised that the only way to train Jessie is by crate-training. The thing is, Jessie won't shut-up when she is in the crate. Even when we were all in the same room, with everyone nearby her, she will still scream to get all the attention. Sometimes, truth to be told, I also can't stand her and when mommy is away (not that far away but far enough not to see me!), I will growl and bark at her to make her shut-up. *winkwink*
Daddy now realised how much a good boy I have been all these while. Although I do howl and whine when I was being left alone (coz I need to see where mom and dad were!) but once I was in the same room/area with them, I am cool and will do my own thing (mostly sleeping la...keke) But, that is not the same case as Jessie. I hope she could stop screaming or maybe she could be house-broken faster, then mommy won't have to be so angry at her. I hate to see mommy's angry. :( Luckily, I am smart. Whenever mommy is lecturing Jessie, I will quickly dodge to a safe place together with Daddy and watch the "nice show" from there!
Btw, now with Jessie here with us, I wanna show mommy how good and well-behaved I am. So, since her arrival, I have not missed the spot where I should do my poopoo/peepee. :) And mommy is so proud of me!
PS: I hope you won't think of my mommy as a bad woman coz she still loves me and Jessie alot!!! And Jessie is not a bad girl either! She's just a bit stubborn and spoilt, so unlike me - I am so COOL...

Pictures Update!

Finally! Here are some pictures of Jessie and yours truly...This is Jessie, first day back to our home. Still very blurblur that day. Hehe. She is such a cutie, eh? Just like me when I was a young puppy! :)
Here is Jessie, acting cute, trying to win Mommy's and Daddy's heart... and mine too...keke...
Cutie Jessie, wondering what's the flash is...
Still wondering.... Jessie, you are supposed to dodge when you see the flash! :)
Jessie loves to sleep on Mommy's and Daddy's feet. Really very manja, even on the first day! Here is she, sleeping on mommy's feet, tired after the trip home from Klang and the endless photo-shooting session!

Pictures of me and Jessie, finally falling asleep, after a long tiring day.... yawn...feels good to have someone accompany me. Jessie's fur is so soft...yawn...just like a pillow...yawn...

Lastly, this is me, sleeping on daddy's lap during a football match between Manchester United (Daddy's fav. team) and some other team in yellow...I wasn't watching...Why watch when I can sleep on daddy's lap? :) Jessie didn't get to sleep on daddy's lap yet coz she hasn't passed her toilet-training yet... Woo-hoo!

JESSIE!

I have a great news to share! Daddy and Mommy bought a toy poodle which Daddy named her Jessie! She is only 2 months old but she could run real fast for someone her size and age. Jessie is apricot in colour and weigh only 0.99 kg! But don't let her tiny and innocent look fool you! She is a very brave and naughty gal, she is! Imagine her, being so tiny, she could climb up the stairs, up a storey without Daddy and Mommy teaching her. Mommy kept teasing me that I can't even climb up the stairs even at age 4 months old, and that is with lotsa guidance and training from Mom and Dad. Yeah, mom, no one is perfect, okay... At least I do not scream and screech like Jessie does, when you put me in my crate. I was and am a very good-natured boy and I don't mind where I am as long as I am in the same room as you are, somewhere where I could see you. :) Okay, so I may not learnt how to SIT in 2 minutes time but I did learnt it in 2 days time! That's not bad for a puppy, right? Okay okay, I may be hyper-active and wants to play all the time, not wanting you to clean my ear and brush my hair, unlike Jessie, who is most willing to lay on your lap and sleep while you groom her ear, but I am also fun to be with, right? So, no more teasing ya, mom!
Oh, back to Jessie! I really love being with her..and I loved snuggling with her while sleeping. Now, with Jessie screaming while being the in crate, mommy has no choice but to let her sleep on the floor with full access to the room. So, since mommy is very fair towards us (altho' mommy sometimes gives me treats but not to Jessie... WinkWink!) and I am 98% house-broken, she lets me sleep on the floor as well with Jessie...Cool! Now I don't have to be in the crate at all!
In my conclusion, I am glad that mommy and daddy bought Jessie! Now, I don't feel so bored at home, while waiting for them to come back from work. :)
PS: Mommy is too busy training Jessie that she doesn't have the time to download pictures from the handphone into the pc. Will update you Jessie's pictures when mommy is free-er, which I doubt she will be at the moment with both of us at home. :p

Playtime!

I had just invented a cool game to play with mommy! Everytime when mommy opens the door to throw the garbage or to check for mails, I will rush out of the door, grab the first slipper I saw on the floor and run to the garden, drop whatever it is in my mouth and run back to mommy. Then, at this time, mommy will sure go back to retrieve the slipper (which is on the grass) and I shall be waiting and once mommy drop it on the floor to where it belong, I shall repeat the whole process with another slipper! How fun is that?! Haha. I usually took one out of a pair so mommy will have to either go barefooted or with a mismatched pair to get me and the rest of the items in the garden! This is really fun! You guys should try it out! Sometimes, mommy got so tired with herself running back and forth collecting slippers, she just went into the house, leaving all the slippers in the garden! (She picked them up once I was safe in the house...jeez...) This is when I know the game ends and rush back into the house before mommy locks the door. Cool, huh?
Another game which mommy and I love to play is Playing Catch. Well, usually I will start the game where I will run towards mommy, jumping up and touching her with my front paws, then she will run and try to catch me. I will run as fast as I could and hide somewhere (usually under the sofa or bed, depending where we were). Mommy will then touch me and run away as fast as she could and then I will be the one trying to catch her. And when I did (which is easy-peasy as mommy runs kinda slow for someone who has long legs compared to mine...), I will run as fast as I could before mommy can touch me and so on! By the time we finish this game, both of us were very sweaty and tired and thirsty and zzzz....

Sleeping Position Again?!

,
Mommy took pictures of me sleeping again?!!?!? Aiyoh, why keep taking my cencored pictures and post in online, mommy? I am sooo embarrassed! But as you can see, wearing a e-collar and even after a painful operation doesn't stop me from sleeping in my favourite position! Yawn!

Pictures of me!

Here are some pictures of me, taken by mommy after the operation. As you can see, that is me, standing with my legs spread open after the operation. I guess I must have stood for hours that day! Another picture are of me, on Sunday, begging mommy to play with me! No more pain! However, mommy thinks it's unwise for me to be playing and put me back into my cage. :( So bored...

I am fine here!

Hi All! I am fine here! Thanks for all of your wishes. On Friday, after the operation, I wasn't feeling very well. I felt kinda dowsy and blur. Even when mommy and daddy came to pick me up at the clinic, I can't really recognised who they were. All I remembered was the trip back home was kinda hazy... felt like I was dreaming. At home, mommy prepared a comfy cage with my pillow for me to rest but I couldn't even sit, let alone sleep! Kept standing with my legs spread open. I tried sitting but will jump up immediately. Hehe. That part was still very sensitive ma... Mommy was so worried coz the vet told her it's a quick and easy procedure and thus mommy assumed that I won't be feeling the pain. So, she was kinda shocked to see me in pain. Lucky I still had great appetite to eat and drink and that made mommy a bit more relaxed. Still, the fact that I wasn't sitting and sleeping and poo-ing and pee-ing made mommy kinda worried and she kept asking daddy if she had made the wrong choice by neutering me. Hehe. Although it's painpain there but I am glad that mommy was sooo worried about me. Mom, I am ok! I am a big MAN already! Don't worry ok? (ok,ok..let's rephased it.. I am a big "MAN without balls"... happy?!) Mommy had to carry me to my bedroom (which is also mommy's bedroom) and arrange me in my sleeping position.. and hand-fed me coz my e-collar was kinda big and prevented me from eating from my bowl. Yoo-hoo! Felt like a king that day!

Anyway, the next day, when mommy finally heard me barking at her and saw me jumping (which I found out, was a big NO-NO, especially after the op) at her, greeting her (with my signature bite!), she knew I was back to normal and she was so happy and relieved! Hehe... (see, I told you mom, I will be ok!).

All in all, it was quite an experienced for me. A once-in-a-lifetime experience, to be exact! It's kinda cool not having the balls around. Felt much lighter now... guess I can now jump higher and run faster than those with balls around. Hehe...

Adios!

Neutering??!?!?!

Sob Sob... I have an announcement to make! Sob sob... As at tomorrow, I am no longer a MAN anymore but instead, I am gonna be a EUNUCH! Mommy is bringing me to the clinic to have my FAMILY JEWELS removed! Sob sob! Daddy is feeling so sad for me but no matter how hard he tried to save me from being operated, Mommy doesn't want and will not change her decision. Somehow, she seemed rather happy that I am gonna be neutered. Sob sob *** Worse, I am not to be given food from today 10pm onwards until the operation tomorrow. Mom, take all the jewels you want, but give me my FOOD!!! How can I not eat??? Pity me... No Jewels and No Food? Guess this is the worst day of my life!

Where's my tooth?

This is weird... I was playing & biting mommy last Sunday and suddenly, I felt that I have lost a tooth! And so suddenly, mommy was holding my missing tooth (which happened to stuck on her hand) and told daddy excitedly that my tooth came off. Then, she went on talking, opening my mouth, looking and searching for any other missing teeth... Hmmm... I thought she was supposed to be worried that I am turning teethless (how to eat like that?!) but instead she was so excited and kept my tooth in a red packet. Hmmm... Mommy, you are getting weirder each day...
PS: Vet said I'm cleared of all the mites infection! So, cousin Max, when are you coming over to visit me? I am 4.3kg already!

Monday, 5 February 2007

Hi everyone! I have a video to share with you! Recently mommy has given me a pillow for me to sleep with and you know, the terrier trait in me made me wanna dig dig dig the pillow! I wasn't sure what I was digging for but it sure was fun! Or at least, that's what I thought! Daddy and Mommy however do not share the same thought. Daddy said it was time to sleep and ordered me to stop it coz the digging was quite loud and noisy. So, what I did was that I pretended to sleep everytime I heard the word, "Stop it!" and after a few seconds (sometimes minutes...to make sure no one took notice of me) and then I would "wake up" and started digging again! It was sooo fun! Until I eventually dozed off while pretending to be asleep....zzz...

PS: The video was kinda dark..hope you guys could see me in action!

Waiting Game...

Another few pictures of me waiting patiently for my dinner... Mom, I think it's time you teach me something else. If not, I will be falling asleep soon while waiting for dinner... yawn***
PS: Notice my eyes are kinda blue-green?! Cool!!
